AMOC: What Does It Matter?

Did you know that 2024 was the hottest year on record?

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and other meteorological organizations released their annual reports on global temperature rise. They unanimously found that the Earth had warmed 1.5 degrees Celsius (°C) above temperatures in the 1800s, before fossil fuels were burned frequently.

His policies come on the heels of data that show 2024 was the hottest year on record. In addition, January 2025 was officially the hottest January ever recorded with temperatures 1.75°C (3.15°F) above normal!  

Did Exxon Mislead Public About Plastic?

In September, the California Department of Justice sued ExxonMobil, a leading big oil company, over its contributions to the growing plastic waste problem.

According to California’s Attorney General, Rob Bonta, the company has been misleading the public and promoting plastic usage for decades. Exxon is the largest producer of polymers used in single-use plastics.
